but not yet fully clear.

What this is

A direct conversation about what is actually present — not what should be.

Serious reflection on direction tends to surface something real. You may experience it as a tension that will not settle. A sense of what matters that sits just out of reach of language.

What self-reflection does not always provide is precision. Most people reach a point where they know something is there, but cannot hold it clearly enough to act on it. The Life Direction Review is designed for that moment — not to manufacture a conclusion, but to help what is genuinely forming become visible and usable.

In an hour with Simon Blackhall, you share what has emerged. He reflects back what is consistent, what is signal, and where the weight of the material seems to be pointing. You leave with sharper language, a clearer orientation, and — usually — considerably less noise.

“The self-guided work surfaces what is there. The Review is where you learn what it means.”

Who it is for

People who feel genuinely called to explore the deeper direction of their life.

Some arrive after completing the 7-step self-guided enquiry and want support making sense of what they are finding.

Others already know they want both the self-guided process and the live review together from the outset.

This is for people ready to engage the questions seriously — not just intellectually, but personally.

What you will receive

One session.
Five things that tend to shift.

01

A precise reading of what is present

You share what the self-guided work surfaced — or what you have been sitting with on your own. Simon listens for what is consistent, what recurs, and what carries weight. Then he reflects it back without embellishment.

02

Language for what you have not yet been able to say

Most people arrive knowing something is there but unable to name it. Finding the right words for it is not a small thing — it is often what makes the difference between insight that stays abstract and insight that changes something.

03

A cleaner distinction between signal and noise

Not everything that emerges from honest reflection is signal. Some of it is anxiety wearing the clothes of insight. Some of it is other people's expectations, still operating quietly. The session helps you tell the difference.

04

An honest view of where to focus next

Not a plan. Not a set of action points. A clear sense of what actually deserves your attention now — and what is distraction, however compelling it appears.

05

Less pressure around not knowing

Uncertainty about direction is rarely resolved all at once. But naming what is genuinely true — even partially — tends to reduce the noise around it considerably. Most people leave the session quieter than they arrived.

What happens in the session

60 minutes. Three movements.

No slides. No structured exercises. A direct conversation, with care and without hurry.

01

You say where you are

Not the polished version. What is actually present — what the work surfaced, what you are turning over, what will not resolve itself. We start from there.

02

Simon reflects back what is consistent

He listens for what recurs beneath the surface — the themes that persist across different contexts, the language you keep reaching for, the places where something real seems to be at stake. He reflects those back without interpretation or projection.

03

Together you separate signal from noise

Not everything that emerges from honest reflection is signal. Some of it is anxiety wearing the clothes of insight. Some of it is other people's expectations, still operating quietly. The session helps you tell the difference — and decide what actually warrants your attention.

A question worth addressing

What if I arrive without much to show for the self-guided work?

That is not a problem. Arriving without clear answers is the most common state people come in — and, honestly, one of the more productive ones. It means the questions are still alive and have not been prematurely closed.

The session does not require you to have done the work perfectly, or to arrive with a coherent account of your situation. What it requires is that you are genuinely in the question — willing to look at what is actually there rather than what you hope or fear might be.

Purpose is rarely absent. It is usually obscured — by noise, by accumulated obligation, by the weight of decisions made when the question was never properly asked. The work of the session is to find where it is actually pointing, not to generate it from scratch.

How this works

A structured conversation. Honest by design.

This is not motivational coaching

There is no reframing, no positive reinforcement, no energy in the room that needs managing. It is a direct conversation about what is actually true — which is a different kind of work, and requires a different kind of attention.

No predetermined destination

Simon does not arrive with an idea of where you should end up. The session follows what is genuinely present, not a coaching model that needs completing. If something unexpected emerges, we go there.

Grounded in a rigorous framework

The SQ21 model of Spiritual Intelligence — developed by Cindy Wigglesworth and grounded in decades of research — provides the structural lens Simon works from. The conversation feels open. It is not undirected.

One session. Nothing owed beyond it.

The review is complete in itself. If the conversation points toward deeper work, that can be discussed — but only if it appears genuinely warranted. There is no follow-up pitch.

In their own words

The self-guided work opens the question. The Review is where you find out what it is actually asking.

Working through the 7 Steps tends to surface something genuine — a direction, a recurring pattern, a discomfort that has been waiting for the right question. But without a careful conversation to help you read it, insight often stays suspended: present, but not yet actionable. The Review is where that changes.

“The guide brought something to the surface I had been carefully avoiding. Having someone sit with that and make sense of it — rather than reassure me about it — was what I needed.”

“I had been circling the same question for the better part of a year. One conversation with Simon and the loop stopped. Not because he gave me an answer — because he named what I was not willing to look at.”

“I did not need more thinking about purpose. I needed someone who could hold up a mirror accurately — without flinching and without flattering.”

“I expected to leave with more clarity. I left with something more useful — a sense of which direction was actually mine, and why I had been hesitating to move toward it.”

Your guide

Simon Blackhall

Simon is a certified practitioner and teacher of the SQ21 framework — the most rigorously evidenced model of Spiritual Intelligence available — and has worked for years with people at precisely this kind of threshold: where something real is forming, where the questions have become serious, and where the ordinary repertoire of advice and encouragement has ceased to be useful.

He does not work from a script or a coaching model that needs to be completed. He works from close attention — listening for what is consistent, what carries weight, and what the person in front of him has not yet found the language for. Then he names it as clearly as he can.

For those for whom the Review points toward something deeper, the Find Your Direction coaching process is available as a natural continuation. But that is a separate conversation — one that happens only if it appears genuinely warranted.

A few practical notes

Do I need to have completed the 7 Steps first?

Not strictly — but the Review works best when you have spent meaningful time with the questions, in whatever form that has taken. If you have not yet done so, the free 7 Steps process is a useful place to begin.

What if the session raises more questions than it answers?

That is not uncommon, and it is not a problem. The aim of the Review is not to close every question — it is to help you understand which questions actually matter, and what they are asking of you. Sometimes that is clarifying precisely because it narrows the field.

Will I be encouraged to book coaching afterwards?

No. The Review is complete in itself. If the conversation suggests that deeper work would be genuinely useful, that may be mentioned — but only if it appears warranted. There is no follow-up pitch, and no expectation of continuation.

If I do decide to continue into Find Your Direction, do I pay again in full?

No. The £150 paid for the Review is deducted in full from the Find Your Direction coaching fee of £897. The Review is not a sunk cost — it is the beginning of the work, and it is treated that way.
