Clearing the Surface Noise
We clear away everything you've been carrying that isn't actually yours — the expectations, the “shoulds,” the identity you inherited rather than chose. What's left is lighter and more honest.

A focused coaching experience for professionals who feel on the wrong path or are looking for their next step
“I feel like I've built a life that isn't really mine.”
“I can't keep doing this — but I don't know what else to do.”
“Something is missing. I just can't name it.”
If any of those landed — you're in the right place.
You're not broken. You're not failing. You're in the gap — between what you've been doing and what is yours to do.
And you need clarity. Not more advice. Not a career assessment.
Clarity.
Find Your Direction is an 8-hour 1:1 coaching experience. It is the full, guided version of the work — not an extension of the self-guided process, but something different in kind.
Where the free 7 Steps guide offers a structured framework for private self-inquiry, the coaching process brings sustained attention, relational depth, live challenge, and iterative clarification. It is designed for people who are ready to work through the question seriously — not just think about it.
By the end, you won't just have a sense of where you're heading. You'll have the clarity and grounding to make a real decision about what comes next — and the inner orientation to act on it.
“You already know something needs to change. This is where you find out what.”
Seven steps. Designed to take you from noise to clarity.
The Find Your Direction coaching experience follows the same core arc as the self-guided 7 Steps process — but here the work is held live, personally, and in depth, not self-directed. The live coaching also introduces a deeper interpretive lens with Step 5, Wisdom Traditions, because this stage requires discernment, pattern recognition and a skilled human mirror. We move from clearing inherited expectations, to tracking what is genuinely alive, to identifying the patterns your life has already been showing you, to shape a Living Purpose Statement, and translate that clarity into concrete next steps.
We clear away everything you've been carrying that isn't actually yours — the expectations, the “shoulds,” the identity you inherited rather than chose. What's left is lighter and more honest.
We find where you actually come alive. Not where you think you should, but where you genuinely do. This is your compass, and most people have never been taught to read it.
We look across the most meaningful moments of your life and find what's constant. Your signature way of showing up. The gift you can't help giving. The impact you naturally create.
Before naming purpose, we look honestly at the person through whom that purpose would have to be lived. Your strengths show where life may move through you naturally.
We draw on deeper wisdom traditions, not for answers, but as mirrors that sometimes reveal what words alone can't reach. This is a deeper interpretive stage — available within the coaching process, not part of the self-guided work.
We cross-reference those mirrors to notice what consistently points in the same direction, and reflect back what your life has been quietly showing you all along.
You arrive at your Living Purpose Statement — your orientation in your own words. Not a corporate mission statement. Something true enough that it stops you in your tracks when you hear it.
Clarity without action is just a nice feeling. We translate your direction into real decisions and concrete next steps. You leave knowing what you're doing next — and why.
You choose the format that suits you:
2 sessions of 4 hours each. Completed over a weekend or spread across two weeks — your choice. Fast, deep, transformative. Ideal if you're in urgent transition and need clarity now.
4 sessions of 2 hours over 4 weeks. More spacious. Time to reflect between sessions. Ideal for deeper integration.
“ I started the sessions unsure of what I really wanted to achieve but over the course of a few weeks not only had clarity on my direction of travel, but was confident enough to take action and make some significant changes that felt totally aligned with who I am. ”
— Ayesha Ali, Director of Patient Advocacy, Real Chemistry
An understanding of why you feel off-track — and what's actually underneath it
Clarity on what genuinely matters to you, stripped of borrowed expectations
A Living Purpose Statement: your orientation in your own words
A clear decision — whether to change course or recalibrate your current life
Your next concrete steps, grounded in what is true for you
You're a professional in your 30s or 40s. You're intelligent and self-aware. You've tried thinking your way through this — and it hasn't worked. You're ready to go deeper. You're open to a conversation that goes beyond strategy into something more real.
You don't need to have it figured out before we start. You just need to be willing to look honestly.
There is no single path into Find Your Direction. People begin from different places, and all of them are valid.
Some begin with the free 7 Steps process and find that the questions open something real — but self-reflection alone is no longer enough. The coaching is the natural next stage.
Some begin with a 1-hour Review session to interpret what is emerging. When it becomes clear that deeper work is warranted, Find Your Direction is the continuation.
Some already know they want the full guided process and begin here without either step. That is entirely appropriate — no prior work is required.
If you begin with a Life Direction Review and continue into Find Your Direction, the £150 Review fee is deducted in full from the coaching price. You will not pay twice for ground you have already covered.
“ Initially, I was skeptical of the benefits coaching can provide. Within our first session, Simon had already proved me wrong and helped build foundational ideas that I had not even thought about prior. By the time I had finished my coaching with Simon, I had become closer to reaching goals in ways I thought were unimaginable. ”
— Finlay Crasnier, LSE Mathematics & Data Science
Your guide
I work with people at the point where something no longer feels right — but they can't yet see clearly what needs to change.
My work is not about giving advice or telling you what to do. It's about helping you understand what's actually true for you — and what your life is already pointing towards, once the noise falls away.
What I tend to do quickly is see through the surface confusion and get to what's underneath it. From there, we can translate that into something clear, grounded, and actionable.
I've worked with leaders and professionals from organisations including the BBC, PwC, Hogan Lovells, and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
When you can see clearly, the next step becomes obvious.
“ Working with Simon has been a game-changer for me. Simon has given me the tools and empowerment to not only excel in my job as a leader but also to prioritise my own well-being. I recommend Simon to anyone seeking genuine support and a transformative impact in their life. ”
